Rob Buchta started exploring FX Makeup as a teenager while evading the hot Southwest summer times. For more than 30 years, he’s practiced his skills in Haunted Houses in Arizona and Washington, as well as staffing makeup teams for live zombie-hunt games and zombie runs. He teaches a variety of classes in from FX makeup and application, airbrushing, to simple-but-effective home haunt FX. He has organized the Crypticon Seattle Makeup Competition for over a decade, as well as providing original artwork for the convention every year.

This year, Rob is ditching his makeup competition gig (really – it’s on hiatus for the year) and offering both a costume distressing workshop, as well as a makeup application demonstration. Rob will present a makeup demonstration and application of an original Joker character prosthetic supplied by Dallas Harvey of Vancouver FX and DHFX. Join him and your fellow makeup-curious folk for what is sure to be an entertaining event.
